Why travel to see people and not buildings

Traveling includes viewing amazing sceneries. It is very effective in capturing a sense of doing more. You will always feel like touring many destinations. It is quite unfortunate that people think they need to wait until their later years of life to travel. This should not be the case. You have more things to learn and people to see when you are still young. Besides, the traveling expenses may not be that extreme.

As much as traveling may be amazing, it may become boring with time if you are into seeing buildings and sceneries as these buildings will not talk to you and may get old and lose the significance with time. Interacting which the native people will give you information about the place, more so the buildings or even teach you their culture.

Meeting people should always be your goal when touring places. This is because; there are more advantages at hand during the interaction. For instance:


Interacting with people will give you a more understanding of how they live and survive. For example in a desert area, there are more likely to be scarce resources like water or even electricity. You can appreciate more of what you have back in your home by taking good care of them as well as teaching others what to do.  You may also learn to help others have a quality life.

Learning more cultures

 Going to different countries with different people means they have different cultures they believe in. Interacting with them will not only help you learn about different cultures but also their importance as well as their way of life. Knowing how other people live with others and the rules they follow to stay in unity may help you appreciate both their culture and yours too.


Visiting another country may be very tricky. This is because; you do not have an idea of what you will encounter or how the people are. Making friends with them will guarantee your safe stay in their area. They will protect you against the hostile people and teach you how to protect yourself during your stay. Some may offer to be your guides in areas where there is no security and maybe there for you if you are in trouble. In most cases, the native people cherish friendship and protecting you will be their responsibility. 


If you need more information about a certain country, you may need to talk to the people around you. You will know everything about them, their customs and the sceneries. You will learn about the motivation behind the development of certain buildings and monuments, their importance and meaning. Moreover, you will be enlightened through stories, poems, and even songs.  By touring around the area, the guides can also give you information about the sceneries on the way as well as make a recommendation. Going back home, you are sure you know the area well.

Understand yourself and others better

You will learn the needs of other people as you compare to yours. This will help you know how different people live, their problems as well as what they need. Having an idea of other people and their suffering, you will be able to appreciate yourself and relate to the difficulties they face every day to make it. You will also understand the importance of good governance and the need to have one.

You will also get to know the activities they engage in to make ends meet and the issues they go through due to the insecurities and wars they had faced in the past.


Understanding people, you need to first interact with them to hear their stories. In most cases, we judge people without knowing their reason for doing or what triggered the action. During tours, you will learn a lot of things about other people and this would help you appreciate what you have. You can also appreciate your culture and your family.

In most cases, you will find yourself by interacting with others, unlike sites. When you are at peace with people, you automatically will enjoy your tour.
